Michael Johnson, Creative Economy Innovation Leadership Fellow

Michael is a Creative Economy Innovation Leadership Fellow at The Glasgow School of Art, Innovation School, with experience in the support and evaluation of creative micro-enterprises (1-5 people) and regional creative clusters, as well as participatory engagement to inform innovation. His research centres on making the effects, viability and value of design innovation approaches more explicit within complex collaborative contexts. By combining principles of actor-network theory with qualitative modes of analysis, Michael uses visual mapping methods to support reflexive discourse on the value of creative enterprise and innovation.
